We are a full service, small animal veterinary hospital. Our Veterinary Team aims to provide the best quality veterinary medical, preventative, surgical and dental care offering a variety of services primarily for dogs, cats as well as rabbits. 

We are committed to promoting preventative health care and responsible pet ownership as well as pet health and behaviour education.

Meet the Veterinarians

  • Dr. Stemeroff
    Dr. Rita Stemeroff
    Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)

    Dr. Stemeroff graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2018 after completing a degree in biomedical science at the University of Guelph. After graduation she worked at a small animal practice for 2 years and then subsequently worked in emergency medicine. She currently shares her time between a few practices allowing her to enjoy both the fast pace of emergency medicine, as well as enjoying all that primary practice has to offer. Outside of work, Dr. Stemeroff enjoys playing the piano and spending time outdoors with friends and family. Dr. Stemeroff resides in Cambridge with her partner, Ben and their many furry family members.

  • Kylie
    Dr. Kylie Welch
    Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)

    Dr. Welch grew up surrounded by animals in Oakville, Ontario. She started working at a vet clinic when she was 14 and never looked back! She attended the Ontario Veterinary College, graduating with honours in 2017. After graduation, Dr. Welch spent some time as a family vet in Brantford before spending 2.5 years in emergency medicine at the London Regional Veterinary Emergency and Referral Hospital. Dr. Welch is excited to join our practice where she will be helping pet families and gets to spend time with healthy puppies and kittens (all of the patients were so sick at the emergency clinic). After spending time at the emergency clinic, Dr. Welch brings a wealth of knowledge to share on how to best treat sick patients. Dr. Welch lives in Woodstock with her husband Simon, as well as their Brittany Spaniel named Annie, and their cat named Jovi. Outside of practice, Dr. Welch enjoys traveling, mountain biking, and hiking.

  • Dr. Esther Duschinsky
    Dr. Esther Duschinsky
    Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)

    Dr. Duschinsky completed a Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology and immunology at McGill University in 1993. She then continued in school to become a veterinarian at the University of Guelph graduating in 1998. Since graduation, she has worked in a number of small animal clinics as well as two years working as an emergency veterinarian. Dr. Duschinsky lives in Cambridge with her two boys, her partner Mark, their Australian Cattle Dog named Merlin, and their cat named Juice. She enjoys the drive from Cambridge as a time to unwind and listen to audio books. She also loves being outdoors, doing yoga and running with Merlin. 

  • Dr. Rob DeVries
    Dr. Rob DeVries
    Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)

    Dr. DeVries completed a Bachelor of Science degree in animal biology at the University of Guelph in 2001. He then continued in school to obtain his DVM degree at the University of Guelph, graduating in 2006. Dr. DeVries practiced both large and small animal medicine after graduation, with a focus on small animal medicine and surgery. He lives with his wife Robin, his twins Aiden and Emma and his youngest son, Owen. He also shares his home with two cats, Hannah and Pearl.

  • Tamara
    Dr. Tamara Hofstede
    Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
    Dr. Hofstede graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2004 after completing a Bachelor of Science in Zoology at the University of Guelph. After graduation she worked at a 24 hour practice for 2 years before joining the team at Woodstock Veterinary Hospital. She enjoys the company of her many fur babies at home as well as her husband Dean.
